Every plan is checked for safety, not just style. It’s the first thing I look at on every client room, and it’s built into Nest.
- The crib in a safe spot. Never under a window, away from cords and curtains, and clear of the door.
- A clear path in the dark. Your floor plan checks you can reach the crib, glider and changing station without stepping round anything.
- Nothing heavy over the crib. Only light art, hung well above the rail.
- A safe-sleep checklist before anything else. A bare crib, every tall piece anchored to the wall, cords tied up, a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm by the door, outlet covers, and a reminder to lower the mattress before your baby can sit up.

I'm Tira. I started Nursery Design Studio in 2017, and I've designed more than 450 nurseries since. I'm based in Boston and work with families all over the country, virtually.

It's $49 and instant. Haven is a one-to-one design by me and the studio, with a full furniture and decor selection, a custom floor plan and design board, five item swaps, one full revision and priority email support. It's $795 and delivered within 5–7 business days.

Is the first board really free?+

Do you only work in Boston?+
No. The studio is based in Boston and works virtually with families all over the country.
Do I need to know my style before I start?+
No. With Nest you tap the nurseries you love and Nest finds your style. With Haven and Atelier, a style and preferences questionnaire does the same with me.
What if I want changes?+
In Nest, your board is fitted to your budget with swaps that keep the look. Haven includes five individual item swaps and one full design revision. Atelier includes ten item swaps and two full rendering revisions.
Can I get a refund?+
All sales are final. That's why your first Nest board is free: you see your style before you pay.
