There's no doubt that designing a shared room for kids can be a challenge. But as you'll see below, it is possible to create shared boys rooms that are functional and fun as well.
Most of these shared boys rooms are mirror image matching, meaning each side of the shared boys room is an almost exact mirror image of the other. This gives the room a more balanced and cohesive look.
However, if you are designing a shared boys room for kids that are of different ages, you can certainly mix up the furnishings so it's age appropriate. Perhaps, you could try a mixed bunk bed or a bed and a crib combo.
When designing shared boys rooms, it's important to make sure that the room is not too overwhelming, particularly if you have two of everything. Use an over sized rug, curtains and wall coverings to anchor the space and make the shared boys room look pulled together.
