Oh, those baby's early days seem so magical when I look back in time. The new baby kisses, cuddles & smells linger in my mind. But if I dig deeper, I remember how scared I was, the sleepless nights and of course, the pain during my postpartum recovery and all the issues I had with breastfeeding.
So today, I've put together a list of hacks to help you manage time and survive the newborn phase. I wish I had these hacks when I was preparing for my first born!

5 hacks to manage time & survive the newborn phase
ask for help
Yes, we want to do everything ourselves and not have to depend on others. But if it is at all possible, ask your mom, sister, friend or your partner to help you get through these early days. Sometimes just an hour a day for yourself to get replenished and revived is what it takes.
prepare for postpartum recovery
Whether you've had a vaginal delivery or cesarean delivery, be prepared with all the essentials you'll need to heal quickly and be comfortable.

prepare FREEZER meals
Seriously the last thing you want to do with a newborn and a few hours of sleep every night is to make dinner. Stock up the freezer with pre-cooked meals. Besides, if you are breastfeeding, you are bound to get really hungry!

sleep when the baby sleeps
When the baby sleeps during the day, you should get some sleep too. The dishes can wait. Don't wait to get your sleep during the night since you are going to be interrupted so often and will feel too tired.
set up stations
To manage your time efficiently, set up stations for diapering, breastfeeding & pumping before you have the baby. With these stations in place you'll have all the supplies you need and designated storage solutions so you will not have to run around gathering items when baby needs to be fed or when it's time to change a diaper.

Motherhood is beautiful and rewarding but can be challenging also. Hopefully with these hacks you'll be better prepared and organized to handle the newborn phase and stop along the way to marvel at your precious baby!
