One of the questions we get asked frequently is how much it costs to decorate a baby nursery. The truth is, you determine the budget you have to decorate the nursery and then you make your design fit in to that budget. Today, we are going to show that you can absolutely furnish and decorate a baby nursery for under $1000.
When designing a nursery on a budget, the key is to keep in mind that the functionality of the space reigns supreme. For example, the nursery needs a diapering station, so you must invest in either a dresser or a changing table though you might have fallen in love with a gorgeous crib bedding set which would surely blow your budget. You don't need a crib bedding set after all. Just a couple of fitted cribs sheets will do.
Also, when furnishing the nursery, it's tempting to pick the best furniture for this very special room, that's going to be an oasis for your precious baby. But remember the baby will outgrow this space in another 2-3 years and you'll be updating it again. So while you want the space to be modern and stylish, there's really no need to spend 300 dollars for an end table.
