The design brief for Theodore's nursery was to create a modern space with a playful nod to a vehicle theme, but subtly.
We started our design by painting the nursery walls with Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace; imagine clouds drifting across a clear sky, setting the stage for dreams to zoom and soar.
We brought in this two-tone crib in natural walnut paired with sleek black accents. It boasts rounded spindles and chic turned-out feet.
Then, there's the olive green dresser. This piece oozes timeless charm with its antique brass pulls—a nod to classic design, but with that fresh, modern vibe Theodore's space craves.
Cuddled next to the swivel recliner—plush, gray, and begging for snuggles—we strategically placed an oversized, deep walnut side table. Not just functional but a showpiece, it highlights the beauty of natural wood.
Above the crib, vehicle art prints cruise the walls, paired with a "long live boyhood" flag—small touches that drive home our theme without overwhelming the room's aesthetic.
Touches of black, from the mirror to the light fixture, inject a modern edge, coordinating beautifully with the textured black-and-white rug that anchors the space.
And for that whimsical flair? A Red Retro Pedal Car Ride-On—because what's a nursery without a dash of dreamy play?
