When designing Leo’s nursery, we wanted to capture the balance of modern simplicity and rustic warmth, while leaning into a subtle safari theme. The space began with a vintage-inspired safari wallpaper in warm brown and white, filled with hand-drawn elephants, giraffes, and lush foliage — setting the tone for a room that feels adventurous yet timeless.
To ground the room, we introduced a washed natural crib with clean lines and smart under-crib storage, paired with a textured glider in a cozy faux shearling that invites long, restful cuddles. A six-drawer dresser in a soft natural finish adds both warmth and practicality, while a bold checkered rug and earthy accents like the wood stump side table and woven hamper bring in layers of texture.
Finishing touches — from the rattan pendant and lantern to the arch mirror and patterned pillow — add depth and dimension, creating a space that feels fresh, organic, and full of character. The overall design celebrates the beauty of contrast: modern lines against rustic textures, safari motifs softened with natural materials, and a palette that feels both grounded and serene.
