In designing Mika's nursery, we wanted a space that blends modern sensibilities with organic warmth and earthiness.
We started by enveloping the walls in Benjamin Moore's Cloud White—a soft off-white with warm taupe undertones that sets the perfect backdrop for a natural palette.
At the heart of the nursery, the Seadrift tone crib exudes charm with its fluted posts, detailed finials, and lathe-turned legs. Its upholstery—hand-tufted washed linen cotton with carved rope molding—adds a layer of subtle elegance.
Complementing it is the mahogany and meranti wood dresser. Its weathered finish and warm brass pulls echo a sense of refined earthiness. Its channel detailing and architectural lines add a clean, contemporary edge.
For seating, we introduced a plush glider upholstered in chocolate brown velvet with button tufting—its mid-century lines ensure it will transition smoothly to other spaces as Mika grows.
Lighting comes from a sculptural three-light floor lamp, its jute-wrapped shades providing muted illumination and a sculptural element.
Handwoven seagrass baskets provide stylish and functional storage, while a faux potted black olive tree introduces a touch of organic greenery.
We also added golden touches from a round mirror and a mesh flush mount, enhancing the nursery's warm ambiance. An ivory and sand rug anchors the space, tying all elements into a cozy, inviting retreat.
