Designing a nursery for your baby can be so much fun and rewarding. But sometimes, it can also seem a little bit daunting.
You might be wondering what the dos and don'ts are when it comes to decorating a baby nursery and how to tackle the nursery design project.
In this post, we'll give you all the steps so you can plan a nursery that's absolutely darling and perfect for your little one.
HERE ARE THE 10 ESSENTIAL STEPS TO PLAN A NURSERY
1.CHOOSE A THEME
Choosing a nursery is the perfect way to begin your nursery decorating project. You'll have so much fun look at nursery inspirations and picking a nursery theme you love.

2.DEFINE YOUR STYLE
What's your decorating style? With an abundance of unique nursery design styles, it can be daunting to figure out which style will work best for you. Do you love the minimalist style or are you a fan of Hollywood Regency or perhaps you are drawn to coastal glamor.

3.PICK THE PERFECT COLOR PALETTE

4.MEASURE THE ROOM
It's important to consider the dimensions and configuration of the room, you'll turn into the nursery. So draw a diagram of the floor plan with dimensions.
5.FIGURE OUT THE NURSERY LAYOUT
Once you'll drawn the diagram of room, the next step is to come up with the best possible nursery layout.
A nursery needs three essential zones/stations. First a crib for baby to sleep, a dresser/changing table for diaper changes and a nursing nook.

6. PUT TOGETHER A NURSERY MOODBOARD
Now that you've chosen a nursery, defined a style and figured out a nursery layout, it's time to put together a nursery mood.
Pick the nursery furniture, textiles and accessories and put all the photos together on a moodboard.
When you have all the furniture, textiles, textures and finishes together , you can edit effortlessly to make sure you've got a cohesive design that you are happy with.

7.PURCHASE NURSERY FURNITURE AND DECOR
If you are done editing your moodboard and delighted with what you see, go ahead and purchase the furniture, decor, storage and accessories.
8.PAINT OR WALLPAPER THE ROOM
While you are waiting for your deliveries to arrive, spend time painting the room or hanging wallpaper and getting the room ready.
9.ASSEMBLE THE NURSERY FURNITURE
If your done decorating walls in the nursery, you can start setting up the nursery as your furniture starts coming in.
10. ACCESSORIZE THE NURSERY
You've got a blank slate now with the painted walls and furniture. But, here's where you are going to make this nursery shine and unique.
Use accessories such as light fixtures, rug, paintings, baskets, a mobile and curtains to personalize the nursery and make it special for your little one and comfortable.
