BARE ESSENTIALS BABY REGISTRY CHECKLIST 2023
1. BASSINET/ MINI CRIB
We love designing gorgeous baby rooms, but your baby needs to sleep in your room for the first few months. The American Association of Pediatrics recommends that babies sleep in the same area as their parents until they are at least six months old.
A bassinet is a great option for this reason. You can place the bassinet next to your bed, giving you easy access to your baby throughout the night. Many bassinets are mobile, so your baby can nap near you during the day.
If you are looking for something more long term, consider a mini crib instead. The baby can fit in a mini crib until it’s time to transition to a toddler or even a twin bed.

2.CAR SEAT & STROLLER
What's more important than your baby's safety? A car seat and stroller are among the most important purchases you will make for your little one.
For baby registry checklist with only the bare necessities- a travel system is a more efficient and cost-effective solution. It consists of an infant car seat, a car seat base, and a stroller. A travel system is a good value because you can continue using the stroller after your child outgrows the infant car seat.

3. BABY CARRIER
Yes, this is a minimalist baby registry essentials checklist with just the bare essentials, but we feel that a baby carrier deserves to be on the list.
A baby carrier lets you keep the baby close to you but still get chores done around the house or snuggle with the little one when going for a walk.

5.BABY BOUNCER
Let's be honest here. As much as you would like to hold the baby all day long, you need a little break now and then. You'll need to shower, use the bathroom or even grab a bite to eat. A baby seat, such as a bouncer or swing, is a must-have on your minimalist registry checklist.

6.Baby MONITOR
A baby monitor can help anxious parents get a better night's sleep and is a baby essential that should be on your list. Use one to keep track of your baby's cries and fusses.
7. SOUND MACHINE
Sound machines can be so useful! Babies can be startled quite easily by sudden noises -a sound machine can help drown out noises to help your baby fall asleep fast and stay asleep longer.

8.HAAKAA
If there is one product that is a game changer for breastfeeding moms, it has got to be the Haakaa Breast Pump. The Haakaa is a silicone breast pump that doesn't have any cords, does not need any electricity, and does not involve much work. But it sure does pack a powerful punch. Not only does it catch the leaking milk from the breast, but it also pulls more milk out of the breast. Check out this post we wrote about the benefits of a Haakaa.

9.CHANGING PAD
You'll be changing lots of diapers, and having a dedicated space for changing diapers will make life so much easier. A baby changing pad will keep your little one comfortable, safe, and secure for daily diaper changes.

The Summer Infant Contoured Changing Pad has everything you want in a changing pad. It’s safe, comfortable, easy to clean, and affordable.
10. BABY BATHTUB
To ensure that baby's bath time is comfortable, enjoyable, and safe - you have to invest in a good baby bathtub.

11. DIAPER BAG
A well-stocked diaper bag is essential anytime you leave the house with the baby.
12. THERMOMETER
Keep a thermometer on hand to determine if your baby has a fever and needs to see the pediatrician.
13. SWADDLING BLANKETS
The secret to a happy, calm baby? Swaddling, of course. You'll need a few swaddling blankets to swaddle the baby.
14. GROOMING KIT
You’ll want to add a baby grooming kit handy for baby's grooming needs.
15. BABY CLOTHES
You'll need onesies, rompers, pants, and sleepers for the baby, along with mittens, hats, and socks. You'll probably get a lot of baby clothing as gifts anyway, so keep that in mind.
16. NURSING PILLOW
A nursing pillow will let you position the baby properly when breastfeeding and make it so much easier for you.
17. ADDITIONAL ITEMS
Don't forget to get a hooded towel, burp cloths and a blanket for the baby.
